FACTS & QUESTIONS
Our cruises do not visit the shipwrecks of Big Tub Harbour. We feel that this area is well covered by other tour operators and can be underwhelming because of congestion and limited viewability. We prefer to focus on more readily accessible and unique sites.
Our vessel, TOBERMORY FLASH, is not equipped with a glass bottom. This is a field that is heavily saturated with other operators. These “glass bottoms” are usually only viewable by a handful of passengers, and we want to offer the same experience to all of our passengers. We aim to offer an exciting ride, providing our passengers with views not offered by other companies. Just great views and fun rides.
We love to accommodate all passengers but, unfortunately, because of design TOBERMORY FLASH is not wheelchair accessible.
Yes, of course! Our vessel is held to the highest standards set by Transport Canada. Our crew is highly trained in marine safety and we are outfitted with the latest marine safety equipment. All of our tours begin with a safety briefing by one of our energetic guides to ensure all passengers are kept safe. For our passenger's comfort we do make a few recommendations; because of the nature of our tour, we don’t recommend that people bring infants, as the fast ride may upset them. We strongly recommend that parents bring children 5 years and younger at their own discretion. Persons with pre-existing medical conditions should also use their discretion when booking a tour.
Boats are a funny thing. Some people are born with their sea legs, others turn green at the sight. Rest assured most people will find this tour to be quite enjoyable. Our vessel is very stable and motion sickness is not usually an issue. We would ask that guests use their own personal discretion when booking a tour.
Big groups put BIG smiles on our faces. We’ll offer personal groups 10 persons or more a 10% discount on their booking. This discount would be applied after the booking has been made. For tour groups or groups exceeding 20 persons please book through our group booking department and discounted rates will be determined by our sales team. Book groups through Groups@tobermorycruiseline.com
We recommend that guests prepare for a day on the water. We suggest that passengers bring sunscreen, hats, sunglasses etc. We always recommend that passengers dress appropriately for the day’s weather. The water can be quite cold so we recommend that passengers bring sweaters, or rain jackets when the weather is cool or wet. We recommend wearing layers so that you can adjust your clothing appropriately. There is no personal storage on board so we would ask that passengers bring only what they need on their person. We cannot be responsible for property lost or damaged while on the tour.
Our boat is equipped with waterproof cameras to document your experience. Every tour starts with a group photo, so you’ll never miss a thing! After your tour you can purchase your photos through any of our sales locations, or for your convenience, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase photos online as soon as we return to the dock! We will send a link right to your email or smartphone so that you can purchase your photos whenever you like, at your convenience! Our tours are only an hour so you won’t need to pack any food. Our tour is in constant motion and moves quite fast, so you won’t want to miss a thing fumbling with snacks. Passengers may bring a bottle of water if they would like but food is not permitted on board.
We understand that dogs are often a part of the family. Sometimes though, there are places Fido just won’t enjoy himself. Our vessel is not designed for our four-legged friends and given the speeds that our tour involves it is not a good environment for pets. Our pet policy does not allow animals aboard our cruise. Service dogs may be accepted with prior notice. Please contact a sales agent to make arrangements.
We operate a non-stop fun tour of Tobermory. We do not drop off passengers on Flowerpot Island or any other destination. Once boarded our passengers get to sit back and relax in comfort as we visit the most famous attractions on the Bruce Peninsula, all while enjoying Tobermory's fastest ride.
