We offer single or double sit-on-top kayaks with paddles, lifejackets, and safety kits included. New to the sport? No problem! We’ll coach you and have you in the Fun zone in short order. We are perched at the entrance to Little Tub Harbour right next to the “Tugs” shipwrecks. Only a short, picturesque paddle away you will experience firsthand the “Sweepstakes” and “City of Grand Rapids” shipwrecks in Big Tub Harbour.

Make On The Water Kayaks a ‘must-do' when in Tobermory. It will be one of the highlights of your visit... one you’ll want to visit over, and over again.

All rentals are done on a first come first served basis. No reservations available. We are open at 10:00am from Wednesday - Sunday. If you'd like to rent, just pop in to the departure dock (53 Bay Street South) after 10:00am and before 4:00pm and we'll get you set up and on the water!

Single kayak:

1 hour - $40.00

2 hours - $55.00

Tandem kayak:

1 hour - $50.00

2 hours - $75.00

Stand Up Paddleboard Rental Rates:

1 hour - $40.00

2 hours - $55.00

* Kayaks available from the May long weekend to the end of September each season (weather/water temperature dependant).

* Stand Up Paddle Boards available mid-June to the end of September each season.

Tobermory Cruise Line Weather Policy

From time to time the weather surrounding Georgian Bay in Tobermory can be unpredictable. We have a saying in Tobermory: "if you don't like the weather, wait five minutes!" Our cruises run rain or shine. Refunds will not be issued due to rain. Wind, however, can affect our tour significantly. If our cruises are cancelled due to high winds, passengers booked will receive a notice and will have the option to rebook their cruise for a later date or receive a full refund. Certain wind directions may make visiting certain attractions potentially unsafe and therefore, tour itineraries are subject to change without notice based on the wind direction and will be held to the Captains’ discretion.

Tobermory Cruise Line Trip Policies

You are required to arrive at your departure location at The Tobermory Cruise Center 45 minutes in advance of your departure time to register or check in and participate in a brief safety orientation. Trips depart on time, so we ask that you leave plenty of time to find our location. Maps will be provided on our website to help direct you to our location. Traffic during busy months can be quite heavy. Late arrivals will not result in a refund. Please allow ample time for travel to your cruise destination. Most trips sell out in the summer months – arriving late will not result in any type of refund or credit. Tobermory Cruise Line reserves the right to limit seating and refuse passengers.

All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

All sailings have a minimum booking requirement of 12 passengers for the Tobermory Flash and 30 passengers for the Tobermory Legacy. Guests booked on sailings with fewer than 12 or 30 passengers respectively may be rebooked or refunded.

Tobermory Cruise Line Pet Policy

Tobermory Cruise Line does not allow pets on any cruises. Aside from service animals, there are no exceptions to this policy.

Tobermory Cruise Line Group Policies

A 25% deposit is due at the time of reservation in order to guarantee your seats. This contract must be signed and returned to complete the reservation. Your deposit is forfeited if the reservation is cancelled within 48 hours prior to your departure date. If you are paying your deposit with a company cheque there must be a credit card associated to your account. Full balance is due 48 hours prior to your departure. The exact number of passengers must be guaranteed at this time. If you do not confirm your numbers 48 hours prior to your arrival, the credit card associated with your account will be charged for the amount of people you have originally reserved for. There are no exceptions. Registered school groups 15 passengers or more are encouraged to contact us for student rates. Tour groups arriving in buses are advised to contact us to ensure parking is available.

*All sales are final. It is the responsibility of the Group Leader/Organizer to contact Tobermory Cruise Line with all deposit, balance and passenger count information 48 hours prior to departure date.

Tobermory Cruise Line Refund Policy

All of our cruises have a 48-hour cancellation requirement. All cancellation requests within 48 hours of the cruise departure time will not be refunded. If a guest must cancel or change their booking, they will need to call a sales agent at our Cruise Centre (519-596-2626) or email the request in to info@tobermorycruiseline.com at least 48 hours in advance.
